Hello! My name is Charis (pronounced caris), and I am the human behind Sniffs & Strolls. I have been obsessed with animals my whole life, wanting almost every animal under the sun! For some reason, my parents didn’t want a baby tiger in the garden!

As you can guess, the reality of a baby tiger in the garden was never going to happen. So I put my skills to good use and did a PowerPoint presentation giving all the reasons for me having my own horse. Sadly, my parents seemed to be very resistant to actually owning an animal!! They did agree, however, to me having riding lessons, which I absolutely loved and enjoyed riding every weekend. During the pandemic, it became possible for me to have my gorgeous golden retriever, who arrived when she was eight weeks old.

Owning Tequila (yes, that is her name) is absolutely the best thing, and she is the light of my life.

Why Sniffs & Strolls? After years of trying to make the corporate world work for me, I realised that my heart was outdoors, with animals.

So at the start of 2026, I took the leap and started my own dog walking business. Having previously run my own dog walking and cleaning business, this wasn’t unfamiliar to me. In April 2026, I completed my Canine First Aid course to make sure I was in the best position to look after your dogs, and for your peace of mind, I am also DBS checked.

I am experienced in handling all types of dogs, be they boistrous, full of joy, anxious or perhaps a bit sad. I particularly enjoy developing a relationship with a dog and their owners and always look forward to meeting new doggos. I have a number of testimonials which will show the variety of humans and dogs I have had the pleasure of working with.
